| We have been awarded funding for a befriending scheme across Mansfield and Ashfield and are now seeking a Befriending Scheme Co-ordinator. The contract will be for at least 2 years, and responsibilities will include managing the scheme as well as recruiting, training, and vetting volunteers to provide company and befriending to older people. Ideally from a health and social care background, you will have experience of working with volunteers and a good understanding of the issues that affect isolated older people. Experience of IT and monitoring systems is necessary for this post, as are excellent communication skills.
