Job Title: Human Resources Advisor
Description
We are looking to recruit a Human Resources Adviser in a standalone role providing professional advice and support. This is an exciting opportunity allowing you to utilise your full HR remit, working closely with the Directors and Managers of the business. This is a broadly generalist role providing an efficient and effective up to date HR service requiring a competent Adviser with key skills in the areas of effective relationship building and communication at all levels.

The ideal candidate will be focused on best practice and continuous improvement within HR and strive to achieve high standards of service to both internal and external customers alike. For the role, you will need to have good interpersonal skills with confidence to liaise with people at all levels, excellent organisation/time management skills and proactive customer service focus. The successful candidate for the role will need generalist and recruitment experience with attention to detail.

Key areas of responsibility HR Advisor/Generalist are:

You will be responsible for the provision of professional advice, guidance, coaching and training on all HR matters to Directors, line managers and staff, ensuring HR best practice.
Providing guidance to line managers and employees on policies and procedures
Reviewing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
To support and advise line managers in all matters of employment law especially in relation to performance management, employment contracts and employee relations.
To work with all managers and staff to ensure best practice and value for money in staff selection, retention, absence monitoring and control and disciplinary and grievance matters.
To meet regularly with the Board of Directors, bringing all matters of concern to their attention and to seek appropriate advice and guidance as and when required.
To ensure rigorous selection processes are in place at all times, meeting all legal and regulatory requirements, in order to safeguard the safety and well being of all service users, staff and volunteers.
To pro actively seek and analyse information in respect of recruitment initiatives, staff turnover, sickness absence, etc. and work closely with relevant managers in addressing any matters of concern or areas of improvement.
To work closely with Board of Directors on drafting policies, procedures, guidelines and various other organisational projects
To devise and deliver appropriate training/coaching/workshops on all HR matters to line managers and other relevant staff as and when required.
